Safety and Security
What class are you teaching during the winter session?
HLS 810 - Infrastructure Protection and Risk Analysis
What feature would you like to highlight about this particular class?
This course features project-based learning and allows current and future professionals in the field to apply the knowledge from the course to a "real-world" problem throughout the six week course.
Why would you recommend that students take this Winter course?
The six week time frame of the Winter courses allows to students to get ahead or make up courses that need to be repeated. It is a unique opportunity to get six weeks for the winter semester and I hope students will capitalize on that opportunity.
What is your favorite seasonal activity to participate in during winter break?
There are so many wonderful activities during winter break from the various holiday traditions, to sledding (hopefully we get some snow), as well as catching up on my leisure reading and TV and movies. The best part is spending time with family and friends. All this can still be accomplished while taking EKU Winter courses. It's a great time to be a Colonel!
